this Sunday

It's important to be prepared, and we believe it's especially true of our gathering together Sunday mornings. So, to help each of us, here are the songs we're preparing to sing this Sunday, whether they are well-established or really new to you...

Everlasting God

Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were born
Or You gave birth to the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

1 Chronicles 16:36
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel,
From everlasting even to everlasting.
Then all the people said, “Amen,” and praised the LORD.

Psalm 41:13
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel,
From everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and Amen.

Psalm 106:48
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel,
From everlasting even to everlasting.
And let all the people say, “Amen.”
Praise the Lord!

Isaiah 26:4
“Trust in the Lord forever,
For in God the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.

Isaiah 40:28
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.

Our God

Romans 8:31
What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who is against us?

Psalm 135:5
For I know that the LORD is great
And that our LORD is above all gods.

Battle Belongs

2 Chronicles 20:6-9
… and he said,
“O LORD, the God of our fathers,
are You not God in the heavens?
And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations?
Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You.
Did You not, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land
before Your people Israel and give it to
the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?
They have lived in it,
and have built You a sanctuary there for Your name, saying,
‘Should evil come upon us, the sword, or judgment, or pestilence, or famine,
we will stand before this house and before You
(for Your name is in this house)
and cry to You in our distress,
and You will hear and deliver us.’”

2 Chronicles 20:17
“’You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves,
stand and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’
Do not fear or be dismayed;
tomorrow go out to face them, for the LORD is with you.”

No Longer Slaves

1 Peter 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again
to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled
and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

Romans 8:1-2
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free
from the law of sin and of death.

Romans 8:15-16
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again,
but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons
by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

Galatians 4:7
Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son;
and if a son, then an heir through God.

The Blessing

Leviticus 26:3–5
"If you walk in My statutes
and observe My commandments and do them,
then I will give you your rains in their season,
and the land shall yield its increase,
and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
Your threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest,
and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing.
And you shall eat your bread to the full
and dwell in your land securely."

Numbers 6:23-26
“Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying,
‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel.
You shall say to them:
The LORD bless you, and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace.’"

Leviticus 26:11–12
"I will make My dwelling among you,
and my soul shall not abhor you.
And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people."
